Caitlin Mahony is currently an Andrew W. Mellon Assistant Conservator at the American Museum of Natural History managing the conservation for the renovation of the North West Coast Indian Hall. In her postgraduate career, Caitlin has been a Samuel H. Kress Fellow at the Walters Art Museum and a Andrew W. Mellon in Objects Conservation at the National Museum of the American Indian. She graduated from the UCLA/Getty Program in the Conservation of Archaeological and Ethnographic Materials in Los Angeles in 2014. During school she completed internships at the American Museum of Natural History, the Hibulb Cultural Center, and the Institute of Aegean Prehistory in Greece. Prior to school, she completed internships at the Ethnographic Museum in Berlin, University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, and the National Museum of Natural History. She received her B.A in Anthropology and Studio Art at Skidmore College.
