Caitlin Breare completed a Masters in Art History and Advanced Certificate in Conservation at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University in 2014. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne, with majors in art history and behavioral neuroscience, respectively. Her internship and graduate fellowship experience includes work at the Museo del Prado, Art Institute of Chicago, and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. She is currently Assistant Conservator in Paintings Conservation at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.
