Cindy Albertson is conservator the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Previously, she was at the at the Museum of Modern Art, as well as a conservator in private practice at Albertson & Nunan, Inc. She presently serves as project manager for Alliance for Response New York City, a local volunteer organization that works within the NYC art community to strengthen disaster preparedness and response capabilities. She has recently published and lectured on the materials and working methods of modern abstractionist Piet Mondrian, pop artist Claes Oldenburg, and Mexican muralist Diego Rivera through the MoMA education department, as well as for the NYU Museum Studies Program, the NYU Institute of Fine Arts Conservation Center, and the CUNY Graduate Center. She received a MA with a Certificate of Advanced Study in Conservation as well as an earlier MA in History with Museum Studies both from Buffalo State College.
