Ruth E. Norton FIIC FAIC, MS Art Conservation, University of Delaware 1978. She practiced and provided conservation training at the Bishop Museum, Honolulu; the National Museum of the Philippines, Manila; University of Sydney excavation at Pella-in-Jordan; Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences, Sydney; and National Museum of Ethnology, Leiden. She taught Objects Conservation at the University of Canberra, Australia, and Buffalo State College, and conducted consultancies for UNESCO, ICCROM, US Department of State and Australian government. She is now McCarter Chief Conservator, The Field Museum, Chicago. She is a co-author of The Conservation of Artifacts Made From Plant Materials.
