Scott Raphael Schiamberg is an Associate Principal at the architecture firm, Perkins Eastman in New York City. Scott’s professional work has focused on the design of complex, large-scale projects across a wide spectrum of building types in the United States, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. In addition, he has extensive experience in the planning and design of some of the most prestigious sport facilities and events around the world including stadia and arenas for teams in Major League Baseball, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League and the planning and design of Olympic Summer and Winter Games. Scott was the Senior Architect for New York City’s Olympic Bid Committee and has advised and consulted the London 2012 Olympic Organizing Committee and Sochi 2014 Olympic Bid Committee.

Scott was awarded the Lawrence B Anderson Prize Fellowship for his research and digital documentation of the “Golden Age Ballpark.” He was a Visiting Scholar in the School of Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where his teaching and writing focused on three unbuilt church facades of Andrea Palladio. He holds Masters degrees in Architectural Design and City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Scott is a LEED BD+C Accredited Professional and a member of the American Institute of Architects and American Institute of Certified Planners. While he loves sunlight in buildings, he has been made aware that it has its place in museums.
