Vicki Lee has worked in the book and paper specialty of the conservation field for the past 25 years.  She has worked at a variety of museums, libraries and archives.  Vicki has been employed at the Maryland State Archives since 2000 and has been the Head of Conservation since 2003 and was made Director of Preservation and Conservation in 2013.  She has been a trainer for Maryland of the IPER (Intergovernmental Preparedness for Essential Records) program created by CoSA (Council of State Archives) and FEMA.She has been a member of the FAIC – NHR team since its inception. As a part of the group FAIC-NHR (Foundation of the American Institute of Conservation - National Heritage Response) she has received training in emergency response and participated in FEMA training programs, including Senior Officials training. Vicki led a team in their deployment to Iowa after the flooding in 2008.  She also participated with a Blue Shield Netherlands group in assisting after the collapse of the Cologne State Archive in March 2009. She was a member of the initial team from the joint Smithsonian Institute and AIC CERT group sent to Haiti in April 2010 and returned in June 2010 to assist in the set up of the Cultural Recovery Center in Port au Prince and again in July 2011. Most recently Vicki led a team in New York City after Hurricane Sandy to assist in the recovery efforts and returned twice to work at the Cultural Recovery Center in New York City.
